Dr. Caitlin Hodges – Lab Group PI

  • Hometown: Atlanta, GA
  • Research Interests: novel methods for in situ measurement of redox cycling in soils, persistence of soil inorganic carbon, iron minerals in the environment, vadose zone biogeochemistry, impacts of mineral weathering and other abiotic processes on soil carbon fluxes, soil biogeochemistry in the anthropocene
  • Hobbies/Interests: Cycling (road and gravel), taking care of my pets (2 dogs, a cat, and 2 guinea pigs), live music, camping

Tiffany Legg – PhD Student

  • Hometown: Duncan, Oklahoma
  • Research Interests: Investigating biogeochemical processes in the critical zone, with a focus on inorganic carbon cycling, specifically the formation of pedogenic carbonates under changing climate conditions. Additionally, exploring interdisciplinary approaches to the study of urban soils, environmental justice, science education and communication, environmental history, and non-market valuation of ecosystem services.
  • Hobbies/Interests: Outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and kayaking. Native pollinator gardening, creating music as a singer-songwriter, and vegetarian cooking. Most importantly, family time.

Jacob Clements – MS Student
